What's to review? It was a nonvented hood with a charcoal filter, 36". A bit hard to find in the local hardware stores. I was able to order exactly what I wanted, it arrived promptly and I installed it with minimum hassle.
I bought this new range hood to replace an existing Broan of the same model. What a difference 20 years makes with the quality. This new one is so quiet compared to the old one. The old one was still working fine. We just needed a new color to match the new appliances.
For such a large unit, it's extremely quiet. There are times when I have to check to see that I actually turned the fan on! I was restricted to using a non-ducted unit, but this has not presented any problems. The filter and fan system works wonderfully and keeps the house from getting smoky or filled with different cooking aromas.
This was the cheapest range hood I could find to fit our extra wide space. It is attractive, goes nicely with the stainless appliances in our kitchen, and works well. I'm guessing the fact that it is ventless makes it louder and less powerful than some at pulling cooking odors from the room. But I am pleased so far. We've had it for a month.
